Isaac Newton unfolded for science the notion that, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” One definition for the word action is quite simply – a thing done. When I think of the word action it is natural for me to think of one specific action. However, when I expand the scope of this word to encompass all action and apply Newtons insight on a macro level a finger is pointed at something infinitely vast and powerful.
Creation is new in every moment. Every Moment is New! The chemical composition in your physiology is different now than when you began reading this post. The grass outside your window right now is growing steadily, never stagnant. Life is an infinitely dynamic process. The future becomes the past in a fraction of a second. All of these changes are actions taking place. From the planets in the solar system, and ant colonies in the middle east, to business transactions every second in a world that does not sleep. Infinite action is taking place right now in the known universe. Here is where Newton makes my job a lot more interesting. What is the equal and opposite reaction to infinite action?
The answer to this question is rarely sought and rarely noticed. Amongst the hum and chaos of a world filled with infinite movement is… Infinite Silence, Perfect Stillness. This opposite is the Infinite Rest it takes to fuel the ever-present action that is on the surface of daily life. The co-existence of opposites exists in every moment, yet we are born in a world that notices and knows only a partial value of totality. This complete Intelligence exists within us all, and by taking the time to learn our own totality, every facet of our lives benefit. One proverb quote says, “it is not the towering sail, but the unseen wind that moves the ship.” Life is just as much an art as it is a science. In this blog modern science is able to point a finger at the complete and perfect abstract order and immense power that is perfect balance, exponential and expanding.
