Absolute India

by Eric Carter

I am sitting in my room right now listening as the rain pours outside the window. It is currently the dry season in India, and for it to rain at this time of year is very rare. The sweet smell and nourishment is flooding me with energy and providing a feeling of purity. It is a beautiful evening. India’s range of rich color and grit sit prominently on my mind. The picture here is of a local temple and offers a glimpse of what I speak of.

It is so very beautiful to see the qualities of softness, devotion and service in the local people in Bhopal, India. Many here have very little of what western ideology would consider to make a man successful, yet it seems most hold a deeper satisfaction that no amount of money can buy.

Here is a local boy named Pramesh. This boy is very intelligent, and walks with a powerful innocence that gives him a feeling of royalty. He is very good at chess, and practices meditation for 30 minutes twice a day.

Oh… Here is a funny video of my friend Asher paying way too much for a rose. He quickly jumped out of the car to purchase it, and we were holding up traffic. He gets back in and the driver asked how much??? :D
